Mother’s Day is about cake for breakfast

too much butter on toast

hot cup of coffee

surrounded by those you love most

 

Mother’s Day is about thoughtful gifts

created from the heart

wrapped and overtaped

one of my favorite parts

 

Mother’s Day is about honoring those mamas

that once walked here before

never forgotten

I love you more

 

Mothers Day is being grateful

for the mommies who are still here

being together

taking turns with listening ears

 

Mothers Day is about feminine sass

not biting your tongue

with a sip of mimosa

makes brunch much more fun!

 

Mother’s Day is sunshine and flowers

gardening in the yard and yummy treats

playing outside

and earthy bare feets

 

Mother’s Day is sloppy kisses

and ginormous hugs

afternoon naps

and cuddles just because

 

Mother’s Day is little hands and sticky faces

that don’t last long

make a mess while you can

dance to that song

 

Mother’s Day is perfectly imperfect

surrounded by giving

available to everybody
